South Downs National Park 2021

New mobile friendly website accessed by QR codes and NFC tags all along the 100 mile South Downs National Trail. Visitors can use their smartphones to scan 38 designs of waypost signs that link to web pages showing 10 visitor points of interest, 16 water points, 12 link routes, 16 videos and 20 visitor information links.

South Downs National Park Trail Officer Andy Gattiker explains the significance of the new water point signs along the 100 mile South Downs National trail. 16 water point signs are designed to make life simpler and easier for visitors and walkers that need to plan their route to ensure water refreshment all along the trail.

New signs have clear branding, location information and link to visitor points of interest, water points and link routes.

Staunton Country Park

New interpretation signs from delivery partner Fitzpatrick Woolmer with visitor signs at key points all around the Country Park. Enables visitors to scan the signs with their mobile via QR codes or NFC Tags to access useful information all about the Country Park as well as Leigh Park Garden history.

South Downs National Park 2012

Original fixed width website accessed using mobile phone QR codes and NFC Tags to link to visitor points of interest, multimedia content and a Google cycle map for the whole South Downs National Trail. Also featured LAYAR Augmented Reality to allow links to web pages, online content, video and audio files.

Mobile websites & scanning

Andrew created a QR code, NFC Tag and Augmented Reality website for the South Downs Way National Trail in 2012. Throughout the project he demonstrated thorough understanding of mobile scanning technology and its applications, with excellent communication throughout.
